Maranatha Music

Christian music is developing and the demand for it is increasing, and in the end of 2008 we announced the new Christian music portal Mranathamusic.lv opened! This is an irreplaceable help in getting to know the Christian music in Latvia.

This project contributes to the musicians and to their listeners. This is their meeting point. For the musicians this is a chance to tell about themselves and about their creative work, as to the listeners – this is a chance for them to get an overall look into the Latvian Christian music, as well as purchase their favourite songs or albums in a legal way. This portal also lets the musicians offer their listeners the songs which are not yet included in an album.

Portal Maranathamusic.lv also serves as an informative guide in the Christian cultural life by giving information not only about the musicians, but also about the current topics and events.

This project also helps in solving a very serious problem in the world of Christian music – piracy (the illegal distribution of music, mostly by copying it). God’s child and a ‘music pirate’ are two incompatible personalities. This project lets it’s users to purchase Christian music in a legal way and by doing that it helps them to keep their conscience clean in front of God. Secondly – it is a support for the musicians, and that will contribute to increasing the number of new Christian compositions.
