Valdis Indrišonoks

Valdis was born August 3rd, 1967 in Riga, Latvia. He is married to Lilita & has two sons, Karlis & Krists.

Valdis has been involved in music since he was 13. He has played together with many famous bands & has worked as a guitarist & singer with many popular Latvian musicians on their projects. In Latvia, he is well-known for his Christian music & a worship songwriter.

Valdis gave his life to the Lord Jesus in 1990 & shortly afterwards began to write Christian songs. He also started the first professional Christian band where some of the best Latvian musicians played. They quickly became the most popular band within Christian circles.

He has played at many evangelistic events & concerts & has visited & ministered in many different churches of many denominations. He has held concerts & led worship in several countries: Latvia, USA, England, Norway, Denmark, Lithuania & Poland. In 2000, Valdis began working with Youth With A Mission Latvia after he & his family attended the Discipleship Training School. Valdis officially joined YWAM Latvia as staff in 2003.

Valdis' vision is to see many new & powerful musicians in Latvia & in the world who totally surrender their lives to Christ & in so doing, worship Him with their talents. Valdis desires to minister using his musical experience, in order to help new musicians develop & mature, not only musically, but also spiritually. His greatest desire is to see an independent Christian recording studio built in Latvia.
